Bereaved parents are 70% more likely to be diagnosed with a mental illness and are four times more likely to die within the first year of their child’s passing. These statistics are tragic and with the help of Ryan’s Grove and The Onsite Foundation, we are creating an innovative, healing experience to support parents during this often overlooked and vulnerable time.
Onsite is a national leader in emotional trauma and has a team of renowned mental health practitioners who travel from around the world to the Onsite campus to deliver life-changing personal growth workshops. Onsite is utilizing its team of experts and collaborating with other grief experts to create this impactful and important program. The program will be provided free of charge for grieving parents who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to access this caliber of care.
Parents participating in Life after Loss will have the opportunity to plant a tree in memory of their loved one in Ryan’s Grove upon graduation. Ryan’s Grove will be a special place for families to visit and become a living sanctuary honoring the spirit of those who were lost too soon.
